Aubrey

Ok I wasn't going to blog anymore tonight. But I was looking through our recent photos and I saw these ones of my adorable niece Aubrey and her dance recital. She is seriously a doll up there on stage dancing around. I can't wait until I have little dancing girls!

She's the one on the far right

Guys*Night*Out

So this is the first "guys night" Ryley has had since we've gotten married. He has gone out with the guys when I've been at work, but when I get home he comes home after me. This is the first time I've been alone in our cozy little apartment alone at night. So far I've managed to eat 2 bowls of ice-cream, watch the latest episode of "The Office" over again, and dance around to my new favorite song. It's nice. Yes, I'm pathetic and miss Mr. Shaum like crazy, but it's nice to have some time. For the past while it's "us" and "we". What "we" want. What "we" like. It's nice to know that I still know what I want and what I like, and that I still like being home with me.

One of the things I like is this amazing song by Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson. I saw them singing on the Regis and Kelly Show. (yes that makes me feel like a mom, but oh well just embrace it) They were amazing together. And who knew Scarlett could sing? This song makes me happy. And I'll probably be listening to it over and over until Mr. Ryely comes home.

Brain Busters

I got this from my lovely friend, Rachel Hopes blog and thought it was really cool. The lovely Janet of Slice of Pink introduced us to the original meme, by Marcel Proust. It's supposed to reveal your true nature. I'm not sure if it really does or what it means, but it was fun to do....... enjoy a piece of me my friends.

Everybody wang chung tonight

Having sex with my husband ;) preferably when I’m 90

Definitely my mom, and honestly all my older brothers and sisters. They all possess these amazing qualities that I aspire to have.

The Little Mermaid

What do you most value in friends?

Knowing that they will always have my back

What is your most marked characheristic?

I hope that people would say I’m happy and probably bizarre

What is your favorite occupation?

I will say I’m super thrifty. The only think I throw cash down on are trips

Which living person do you most admire?

Wow this is a hard one. Mainly because I admire so many people. But because of recent events I will have to say my mother. I have recently become closer with my mom in understanding why she is the way she is and some of the struggles in her life time. I do not envy her, but thinking of her life and the way she handles herself and the situation is amazing. She’s not perfect, and I’m sure she would say she did things differently, but I think she did a pretty amazing job. I’m just glad that I know my mother a little better. To know why she is how she is.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

self-righteousness

What is your greatest fear?

Ryley dying before me. Good thing promised me he wouldn’t when he proposed!

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Perfect happiness would be not having to waste my time at a pointless job to get more money. Ideal happiness would mean money didn’t exist. Ryley and I and all my friends and fam could live by each other, preferably in Hawaii, and we would spend our days helping others and enjoying Gods amazing creations.

blue skies Every Day

I've been thinking about my life a lot lately. It's funny how things don't always turn out the way you plan. Sometimes it's worse than you wanted, but sometimes it's better. I had big plans one year ago for when I graduated. I was going to move up with my friend Rachel to NYC or move back to Hawaii and live it up. Then I met Ryley. Plans changed. Changed for the better. It's funny though, because I've still been a little sad that we're still in Idaho instead of Alaska or Hawaii, but then I realized I don't care. My new sis Ashley is moving to Hawaii to the house I was supposed to be living in. At first I was sad that we weren't going to. But it's funny because I am 100 percent content in our little basement apartment chilling with my amazing husband. And one day we will be Hawaii living it up, but for now I'm content living it up where ever we walk to tomorrow.

Bear LaKe

After our drive from St. George to Provo, Ry and I headed to Bear Lake. I've been gone for so long, but I still get excited when I see the lake driving through Logan canyon. Thanksgiving was definitely more quiet this year, but it was nice to be home. During the week in St. George and especially in BL we played my sisters Wii like crazy. It's a little embarrassing to say that my arm was really sore by the end of the week.
One thing we always do in BL over Thanksgiving is getting Christmas trees. We hiked up Paris canyon past the ice caves and found our little baby. We had to get 5 trees this year. I will say this is the first time the I picked out the BL tree. Todd usually does the honors, but my choice this time was beautiful! That's right Todd.
I know this Thanksgiving wasn't quite what I was expecting it would be, but I'm thankful I went. I'm thankful for brothers and sisters that I can look up to. Who are spiritual giants who help me get through and know what I need to do. I'm thankful for a mom who tries so hard to make us all happy. I love her so much. I'm also thankful for my dad. I miss him so much and look forward to the day when we can all be together and party again. I'm thankful to be a part of this family.

Thanksgiving Lasts ALL Week Long

Ever since I came home from thanksgiving I've been wanting to blog about all the adventures, but have been so overwhelmed because there's so much to tell. All in all it was an amazing week smashed with the Shaums and Matthews. I Love both my families!

First Ryley and I cruised to St. George to party with his family. Besides the amazing time of miniature golfing and batting practice, we hiked in Zions National Park and cruised to the Grand Canyon. That's right. We went to one of the seven wonders of the world. One down six to go, and trust me, we will go! (I just need to figure out what and were those other wonders are!)

IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!

After all the partying in St. George..... we went to Provo to visit my brother Todd, Shayla, and Skyler. We LOVE staying with them. Then we headed to Bear Lake for the rest of the weekend. I will be blogging about that later since it is now time for bed! But I will say that I am so thankful for my new family. I love how much fun they are. They are all so relaxed and up for a good time. They always make me smile and feel welcome. I couldn't ask for a better second family!

The RAIL jAm

I love how it's warm all week long and then the weekend hits and it's 20 degrees all day. It's awesome. Saturday was the rail jam. We went to watch Hayden and some of our friends riding in it. It was way rad, but was FREEZING! Watching makes me wish I was brave enough for rails. Why do I get scared? I mean the worst that could happen is falling off, but for some reason it freaks me out. Maybe this year.... maybe not.

Hayden rippen it up on the rail

Rocken the sweet glasses we found at DI earlier that morning. Ryley's are reading glasses that make you crazy dizzy..... so we popped the lenses out and he rocks the frames. Such a stud!

I'm so lucky!

Soccer over for the year. We made out with a pretty sweet season being undefeated until the championship game. Yes we lost. Sad times. But I swear it was rigged! It would have been good to win, bit all in all it was an amazing season playing soccer with such rad people.

Our entire team. Go Velvita!

Not quite as flexible as I used to be...

The Contenders

Our flag football team was pretty sweet this year. We started off awesome and then lost our last 2 games. Honestly I wasn't too sad to lose and be out of the tournament since the last game we played it was 25 degrees with crazy wind! Go Rexburg. But I will say since married life I haven't really hung out with that many girls. It was really nice to be around some estrogen again! (I never thought I would ever say that)

So I forgot to wear my sweet Contenders shirt. They were pretty sweet thanks to Allyx.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This Halloween was pretty freaken sweet. I knew it was going to be good when our pumpkin turned out AMAZING. Things just escalated from there. Ryley and I went as Average Joe's dodgeball players. We looked great thanks to DI and Branea's old cheerleading clothes.
